fyi, the famous jalan alor is now jalan kejora

i was like so shocked when i heard about this

as u guys know

Jalan Alor is the name of a famous tourist spot that puts Malaysia on the world map. Foreign tourists know Jalan Alor and tis name is printed in all the tourist guidebooks

k lar i understand la.. some of the old road names especially those which is named after some rich ass chinese businessman have been changed from time to time for the past few years by our beloved government to show the keBOLEHness by having more "Malaysia feel" roads...

but then, why DBKL pick Jalan Alor? Jalan Alor sounds chinese to u? sounds foreign?

what is the real point of changing the road name? how can u change the name so sudden and take down all the sign board without giving the residence earlier notice? and... why jalan Kejora?? it is not that nice pun? i think jalan Alor is much more classy than Jalan Kejora? i dont really know what "kejora" means.. can someone tell me? im too lazy to check in the dictionary :D

next they gonna change all other chinese translated road names...
let me guess....

Jalan Chow Kit -> Jalan Badawi
Jalan Loke Yew -> Jalan Najib
ya allah....
why dont they change Jalan Tun Razak instead?
